Lauren is a proud Gator and never misses a game day without sporting the Orange and Blue, even if she's working. She also completed minors in Geography and Communications Studies to gain additional experience in science and public speaking.
Lauren Rautenkranz is currently a Meteorologist in Jacksonville, Florida. With her position at First Coast News and previous work experience in Wilmington, North Carolina, she's been able to forecast everything from major hurricanes and tornadoes to snow and ice. She is a passionate storyteller with the ability to connect with viewers and deliver accurate, compelling forecasts.
Growing up in sunny south Florida, Lauren loved visiting the beach year-round and spending time outdoors. She learned at a young age, however, how destructive Mother Nature can be. Experiencing a hand full of hurricanes and watching endless hours of storm coverage, Lauren knew she wanted to make a difference in her community just like the meteorologists on TV.
